At Your Leisure: The Ritz-Carlton x Late Check Out

A new chapter in the award-winning collaboration between The Ritz-Carlton x Late Check Out

By Nathalie Tovar

Soft shades of ivory, hints of baby blue, and delicate neutrals all come together to create the palette of colors in Chapter Two of the partnership with The Ritz-Carlton and Late Check Out. Filled with a sense of uniqueness, the collection leans into graceful simplicity with a touch of comfort, embodying a blend of both brands.

The Ritz-Carlton first partnered with Late Checkout, the Madrid-based streetwear label, in 2024, releasing nine bold and colorful exclusive pieces that mix the sophistication of The Ritz-Carlton with the casual style of Late Checkout. This next chapter, which launched in November, offers a different perspective of the collaboration, exploring leisure and adventure in a striking way. The collection channels Late Checkout’s energetic spirit and The Ritz-Carlton’s heritage and colors, distinguishing itself with a mellow, hotel-inspired narrative and presenting a refined approach to travel and relaxing hotel stays. "This chapter feels larger in every sense: more cinematic, more layered, and more personal,” shares Alex Turrión, Creative Director of Late Checkout. “It's still rooted in hotels, still tongue-in-cheek, but now it touches every part of travel, from family to home.”

The collection includes a number of accessories, elevated loungewear, and children’s clothing, each one delicately embroidered with either the classic Ritz-Carlton logo or the iconic lion. The lineup emphasizes relaxation combined with timeless sophistication, with items such as pajama sets, metal-buckled caps, and everyday essentials. From the twenty-one new pieces, the Navy/Cream Globe Sukajan Jacket and Light Blue/Navy Rugby Polo stand out as key highlights of the capsule.

The velvet bomber sukajan jacket is a homage to the collection’s central inspiration of traditional Japanese design and the quiet intensity of  Nikko’s scenery. Featuring a lion and crown crest on the right chest and an elegant gold key zipper pull, the front of the jacket subtly integrates The Ritz-Carlton's signature iconography. On the back, an embroidered globe motif is framed by red and white lettering, with swirling clouds lacing through the design. All together, the jacket symbolizes constant movement and evolution, a reminder of the project’s storyline of exploration, balance, and experiences. The rugby polo approaches this same narrative through a softer, more wearable twist. Made of 100% cotton, the striped polo expresses a playful and timeless silhouette. The rich blue tones of navy and light blue paired with white ribbed cuffs and embroidery achieve a polished take on everyday wear. Whether dressed for a more casual look or paired with more elevated styling, this versatile top embodies both the brand’s signatures in one design.

"With family pieces and travel-ready accessories, [The Ritz-Carlton x Late Check Out] reflects our natural evolution as a brand, while keeping the wit and craftsmanship that made people embrace the collaboration from the start," describes Jamie Kerr, Global Head of Brand and Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton.

In honor of Chapter Two of  The Ritz-Carlton x Late Check Out, various Ritz-Carlton locations worldwide are introducing retail pop-ups, including at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara. The exclusive event will take place on January 24 from 2–4 p.m., inviting Santa Barbara guests and locals alike to explore and shop the collection firsthand while celebrating The Ritz-Carlton and Late Check Out’s shared vision of timeless, multigenerational appeal.
