Whether spending winter in a ski town or a beach town, who doesn’t want that fresh-off-the-slopes, rosy-cheeked glow? As someone hyper-conscious about what I put on my skin, I turned to the OG clean beauty brand, bareMinerals, for a product that delivers the perfect glow without leaving you wondering at what cost.

The newly launched bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Luminous Skin Tint Stick glides on impossibly smooth and weightless and comes in 20 inclusive shades. It’s silicone-free, opting instead for silica, and blurs uneven texture while hydrating and nourishing the skin with calcium, acai, vitamin E, and magnesium powder.

Playing off the product’s oh-so-fitting tagline, Glide, Glow & Go, bareMinerals celebrated the launch with a cheeky après-ski themed event in Topanga. Branded skis lined the lodge walls, stuffed polar bears took up residence in the living room, and smoothies featured skin-loving ingredients found in the Luminous Skin Tint Stick, like magnesium powder and acai.

Among the après-ski bites, chocolate fondue-coated strawberries emerged as a metaphor for how the balmy Skin Tint Stick encases your complexion, masking impurities while leaving skin hydrated and luminous.

When makeup artist David Birdwell swiped the Luminous Skin Tint Stick across my face, I caught my reflection in the mirror. “Oh my goodness, I look flawless.” I gasped, before quickly checking myself. “I mean, my skin looks a lot better than it did a minute ago.” While David’s expertise certainly helped, the product itself is refreshingly foolproof and portable. It’s easy to apply at home, or even in the car, and it blends seamlessly with fingers or a brush.
