An Interior Motive: Andrea Schumacher Interiors

Sumptuous and imaginative: these two words perfectly characterize the work of Andrea Schumacher Interiors. Founded in Denver by Andrea, the interior design firm recently opened a Santa Barbara branch.

Andrea spent the bulk of her career in Denver, expanding her team and building relationships with local clients. Eventually, being landlocked fueled her coastal craving, so her team headed west and opened up their second location right here in Santa Barbara. Now, Andrea spends each day inspired by the sights around her, in what she calls her own paradise.

Of course, her travels aid in her creative process as well. She believes it is incredibly important to be aware of the built environment around her, no matter what city she’s in. She shares that her “true knowledge of design comes from a long and ongoing love of the world around her.”

Andrea Schumacher Interiors is known for their ability to combine “a deep appreciation of the past with a passion for modern design.” Their innovative designs have earned them numerous awards, including being named one of House Beautiful’s “Top 20 Under 40” designers to watch in the country. This year, the team is showcasing their work in a whole new medium: Vibrant Interiors will be hitting the shelves soon. Weaving in inspiration and tricks-of-the-trade, Vibrant Interiors will offer a lasting collection of the team’s projects throughout the years.

The release of Vibrant Interiors is only the beginning of what this year has in store for Andrea Schumacher Interiors. The team is creating wallcoverings and textile products, launching this April. But it doesn't end there–discussions about writing a second book are already underway as well. One thing’s for sure: whether you’re planning your next renovation, or simply seeking inspiration, you’ll want to keep an eye on them.
