Music Academy is hosting an auction and concert to raise money for their after-school scholarship program Sing!

Montecito’s very own Music Academy Auxiliary is hosting a three-fold fundraising event for their after-school program, Sing! and the full scholarship program for Summer Festival fellows. The triage of events, taking place November 16-20, is centered around the main attraction: their online auction. Funds will go towards allowing exceptionally talented artists to blossom into leading musicians through the Music Academy’s programs.
Kicking off the events, the Academy is hosting a free concert on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at Weinman Hall. Guests are encouraged to come and enjoy performances from award-winning electroacoustic duo, ARKAI. At the event, guests can also register for the Online Auction, enter for a chance to win the first daily raffle, and purchase any of the "buy now" auction items available on-site. At 5:30 p.m., the first daily raffle winner will be announced and promptly given their new electric bike.
The online auction opens on Wednesday, November 16th at 8 a.m. and will remain open until Saturday, November 20th at 6 p.m. The auction offers over 100 thoughtfully curated gifts and deals that will go to the highest bidder. A special section, “All Things Santa Barbara,” features local experiences such as private concerts, floral design classes, wine tastings, spa treatments, and tickets to the SB Polo & Racquet Club. However, the goodies extended beyond the Santa Barbara bubble with the opportunity to win a six-day stay at the Ocean Reef Club in Florida. Or, for sports fans, there’s a chance to sit in the first row at a Warriors game complete with a two-night stay at San Francisco Intercontinental Hotel.
In addition to the online auction, the Music Academy will hold a daily raffle offering up the chance to win a prize each day. To enter, Venmo @musicadademyw and provide both your name and phone number. One raffle ticket is $20, or you can get five tickets for a reduced price of $75. Each ticket counts as one entry and each ticket will be printed and placed into the raffle jar. At the end of each day a lucky ticket will be pulled and the winner will be announced on the Music Academy’s Instagram. Remember, all the proceeds go to Sing!, an after-school program for local elementary students. Sing! is a free-of-charge program that gives its participants the unique opportunity to perform in front of a crowd with local, national, and international partners. In the past Sing! has collaborated with the Santa Barbara Symphony, the Young People’s Chorus of New York City National Lab, and the London Symphony Orchestra. In accordance with their mission, Sing! is “giving voices to the future.” So, show your support this month!
